I was tired of our builder-grade guest bathroom. — Meh. — So I opted for a mini “facelift” since a major renovation of ripping out tile, coutertops etc. wasn’t in the budget. My son and daughter both share this bathroom so I was conscious about making sure it wasn’t too girly or too masculine….a design tightrope.
While looking for shower curtains, I found these curtains, two in a package, at Homegoods for only $24.99! Even better than the price was the length…Since they were 108″, I hung them from the ceiling to accentuate the height of the bathroom. (Similar navy curtains here.) As you can see, I hung a clear shower curtain below for day to day use. When using drapery panels, as opposed to a standard shower curtain, you drastically increase your design options.
I found these great faux bamboo frames at…you guessed it…Homegoods. I thought the black frames complimented the navy curtains well. I finally found a home for the kids’ silhouettes, which had been, unfortunately, sitting in a drawer for YEARS, and also added family beach pictures.
I made a dramatic change in my guest bathroom for under $80.
